My Lockdown Skincare Routine

As a rule of thumb, I always try to keep my skincare routine simple and easy. My skin is dehydrated, there's dry patches around my forehead, oiliness across my nose and the usual blackheads and whiteheads!

To start with I cleanse, usually I use a micellar water to remove any makeup but seeing as I'm not wearing any at the moment, I'm skipping that step. I've been using the Pink Clay Hot Cloth Cleanser from Lacura, using a muslin cloth to massage it in. I love cream cleansers and find using a cloth helps with exfoliating too.

As I need some extra exfoliating to help with my skin texture and dry patches, I've been using the Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner for ages now. I apply a little to bamboo cotton pad and sweep across my skin.

Next is my favourite eye cream the Origins Ginzing Refreshing Eye Cream, using my ring finger to gentle pat it in and make sure it's fully absorbed. It's super light and brightening and works really well under concealer too.

My must-have moisturer is the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. I'm obsessed with how lightweight this cream is, doesn't interfear with my spots and keeps my skin balanced too.

SPF has always been an essential in my routine, thanks to my pale English rose skin. I've gone through countless of La Roche-Posay suncare and I'd definitely recommend it to those who have combination skin and don't want it affecting their foundations.

For the evenings I sometimes add an overnight mask, I'll always turn back to the Origins mask, but the majority of the time I'll add a small amount of the Decleor Night Balm. I've tried a few different types from this brand before and I'm currently using the Neroli one, it's a great uplifting blend of essential oils.

Hope you enjoyed this post and let me know what's in your skincare routine!
