What I Got For Christmas 2017

Christmas Day may have only been last week, but it feels like a lifetime ago! Much to some internal debate about whether to share a 'What I Got For Christmas' post, I decided to go ahead with it anyway. I personally love reading these posts from other bloggers and discovering new favourites or brands from them.

Obviously I was on the good list for Christmas in 2017 and gratefully received gifts from my friends and family. I've broken down the gifts into sections and will hopefully find a few links to them if there's anything that takes your fancy!

A classic Christmas present is of course new pjs and slippers! Both from M&S and from my parents, the checked boot slippers are very comfy and warm for my feet. Unfortunately I can't find them online anymore, but Accessorize have plenty of amazing slippers in sale right now.

I have a slight attraction to anything star print at the moment, including with my pjs. I much prefer long sleeved and jegging style pjs because I do get cold at night and like to snuggle down in my duvet. I can't imagine anything worse than wearing a silk set of pjs, I'd just slip around in bed all night! These were in a M&S outlet store so aren't available anymore, but ASOS have a very cute similar pair.

Because of a mini beauty haul I did on Black Friday and because I had a massive goody bag from the Pure Beauty Awards in October, there wasn't a lot of beauty themed items on my Christmas list. Saying that, there's nothing more luxurious for me than a Sanctuary Spa set. Everything about it from the scent and packaging to the way to leaves my skin feeling so soft and nourished makes me feel very happy! I saw a few of these sets in my local Boots stores half price, so make sure you're quick to buy...

Decleor is another luxury brand for me and one of which I adore using. Their Night Balms are a particular favourite of mine and I use it after moisturising to leave my skin feeling hydrated and spa-like. All of their night balms include essential oils to soothe and calm your skin, the one I have now is the Neroli which helps to purify and heal the skin. Look Fantastic always have a great sale on Decleor or try All Beauty for discounts too!

Onto one of my favourite things to unwrap! Each year my sister and brother-in-law get me a new diary and notebooks from Paperchase - the best way to start a new year. The cat notebook is very me and I've already started writing blogging notes in the yellow notebook too. The cat notebook is available here and you can find the cute yellow notebook here - you can even personalised the cat notebook!

I love reading and the smell of new books, so it's no surprise that a few titles ended up on my list! My brother picked up the new Giovanna Fletcher, Some Kind Of Wonderful book and an author I haven't read before, The Note by Zoe Folbigg. I can't wait to get stuck into both books! Amazon is my go-to for savings on new books, as well as being free delivery on book orders over £10.

This time last year I was obsessed with Pretty Little Liars on Netflix - and the obsession continues. I'm sure many people know or have watched Pretty Little Liars before, but for those who haven't seen it yet it's about a group of five highschool girls in America and one mysteriously disappears. The remaining four girls start receiving messages from an anomyous 'A' who knows their secrets and forces them to carry out tasks as threats. It gets pretty dark as the series goes on and always keeps you on your toes! Again Amazon is the best place, it's now £49.99 for the complete set.

And last but not least a few special mentions to these presents! My sister and brother-in-law kindly gifted me a Go Ape voucher. If you read my Bucket List last year then you'll know that Go Ape was on my list and something I didn't get round to doing. I'm going to grab a pal and tackle a Go Ape course hopefully in the spring, so if there's any Go Ape centers around London or the South that you recommend please do let me know!

Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without a bit of chocolate now. My brother-in-law's sister and her fiance gave me the chocolate Snowman and Snowdog, which is now slowly being eaten head first of course. My mum used to say eat the head first so it can't hear the rest of itself being eaten - which is probably slightly odd to say now.

What did you get for Christmas? Did you find any bargains in the sales?

Thanks for reading!
