January Skincare Haul ft Caudalie, Origins and Glossier

I would say I am more of a skincare gal than I am makeup, I get more excited over the latest cleanser launch then a new matte lip colour. In my opinion it's also better to spend more on your skincare with better quality ingredients that benefit your skin. I have a few go-to skincare products and with the January sales on, I couldn't not pick up a few favourites and new additions!

I never used to use face mists because I thought they were a frivolous item and didn't serve any purpose. Then I tried the Caudalie Beauty Elixir and it's a skincare game changer.

It's 100% natural, 0% parabens and phenoxyethanol and cruelty-free, which are factors that are important to me in skincare products. The ingredients include grape (Caudalie's famous french grapes) lemon balm, peppermint, rosemary and rose, so the whole blend is very uplifting for your skin. I like using it as a toner and also to set my makeup and make it look all dewy.

Next up is my all time favourite face mask. I tried a mini of the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask and finally finished it last year, justifying me purchasing the full size. My skin is combination and veers towards dryness, especially on my cheeks. This mask helps to smooth and hydrate my skin overnight and leave it feeling refreshed in the morning. I love the smell too, it uses avocado and apricot which is one of my favourite scents!

I caved and bought some new Glossier products! I kept seeing everyone raving about the Milk Jelly Cleanser and being the cleanser fan that I am, I was looking forward to trying it. It's a very gentle and pH balanced conditioning face wash with rosewater and other soothing ingredients. I've been using it for a few weeks now, both morning and night and so far I'm not that impressed. It's a nice cleanser and all but my skin doesn't feel that different, perhaps just a bit smoother! Maybe I'll try using it for a little while longer before making a final decision.

Another Glossier product everyone is talking about are the Balm Dotcom's. I picked up the mint version because I love minty scents and had a favourite mint lipbalm from Maybelline years ago that this reminds me on. I haven't used this one too much yet but from what I have used it's amazing for my lips. Not too sticky but still hydrating!

What new beauty products have you bought recently?
