Dermalogica Influenster Box Review

Last October I was lucky enough to be picked for another Influenster box, this time with Dermalogica. I haven't tried any Dermalogica skincare before but have always heard great things about their products. I guess nothing has stood out for me that's been a 'must have' products, well until now of course...

The newest product is the Daily Superfoliant, an anti-pollution powder exfoliant with charcoal and alpha hydroxy acids. It's my favourite product out of them all as it's helped to smooth any dry skin patches and I've noticed a big difference in the size of my pores across my nose.

Because it's a powder it does take a while to get used to applying it to your skin. You pore a little into you hand then add water and massage it into your skin. It does foam up a little and you'll notice the gritty exfoliating bits there too. It's 57g for the bottle and I know it'll last me for a while too!

I like that the ingredients like Niacinamide, Red Algae and Tara Fruit Extract help guard against the damaging effects of pollution because since working in London it's been a big skincare priority. Whenever I've spent more than a few days away from the city, my skin looks clearer and less dull too so I know pollution is playing a major part in my skin's health.

The other products which came with Influnester box were the Skin Smoothing Cream, Special Cleansing Gel and Pre-Cleanse Balm. Over the past few months I've started to take much better care of my skin with higher quality products and trusted brands. Since trying these Dermalogica products I've been more interested in their other ranges, especially the products with SPF!

The Skin Smoothing Cream was a bit of a dud to me, it's a nice basic cream but I never felt like it made a massive difference to my skin. I still had a few odd dry patches and redness that this cream never made a difference to. The Special Cleansing Gel again was a lovely product to use, my skin felt clean and not too tight or over cleansed after using it. Again it was pleasant to use but nothing that special for me!

Now the Pre-Cleanse Balm changed my opinion of Dermalogica for good. I love using a thick cleansing balm as my dry skin loves to soak up the hydration. This cleanser also came with a mini rubber cleansing mitt that helps to massage the balm into your skin and pores. It helps to melt away my makeup, and even eye makeup too! It turns to a oil-based cleanser once you've massaged in and helps to balance out any oiliness across my t-zone.

Have you tried anything from Dermalogica before? Any new skincare pieces you recommend?

Thanks for reading!
