Enjoying The Little Moments

As humans, we're constantly wanting more from life. Whether that's travelling to new places, learning a new skill or filling up your weekend with blogging, there's always something more. Over the past few weeks I've been pushing myself to experience more and do more things day-to-day, but that's actually pushed me to the brink of exhaustion. Not quite burnt-out but pretty close to collapsing in a heap and not wanting doing anything for a few hours.

That's why I thought I'd write this post to remind me to enjoy the little moments that happen each day. It could be as simple as making yourself a cup of tea and taking yourself off to bed early with a book or treating yourself to a little chocolate after a manic day of work. The feeling of contentment in those little moments are what I want to hold on it. It's not necessarily the big and grand gestures that mean the most and stay ingrained in your memory, the little stuff counts too.

Now it's about finding that balance of relaxing and taking time for yourself, whilst not missing out on the great experiences and getting that FOMO feeling. For each busy day or evening I plan, I make sure the day after or before is completely free to just do nothing and enjoy the little moments. Last Sunday I spent all afternoon sitting in my garden with a book in my hand, completely free of any pressure that I'm wasting my time not being out there and exploring. Taking time for yourself and enjoying the little moments are just as important.

What do you do to relax? Any tips for enjoying the little moments?

Thanks for reading, it may be a little rambly!
