Spring 2017 Makeup featuring Clinique, L'Oreal and Benefit

When the seasons change I like to switch up my makeup and wear shades that suit the new season! Now we're officially into spring, I love wearing lighter pink and coral shades and generally going 'softer' across my whole look.

Blushers are my go-to product for using on my cheeks, over using highlighter, contour or bronzer. I have a mini size of the Benetint Rose-Tinted Lip and Cheek Stain, which has lasted me for ages and great for travelling! It gives me a natural flush and is so easy to blend and apply that it literally takes me a few minutes.

Next up are powder blushers, I don't have a preference from powder or cream but I find powder much easier to apply and control! I have a MAC Sheertone Powder Blusher in Peaches, which is a lovely light coral shade. These powders are great because they're really buildable and a peach blush is perfect for spring time. When I want a little shimmer but not crazy glitter ball, the Soap & Glory Blusher in Peach Party (can you tell I like coral peachy shades?!) is my best option. I just swirl my blush brush around to pick up all the shades and sweep across my cheekbones. The overall effect is a soft highlight and pretty peachy-pink blush.

Before I had the Marks & Spencer 2015 Christmas Beauty Advent Calendar, I had never heard of Diego Dalla Palma makeup - but now I'm very happy I did get it! The Il Rossetto The Lipstick in 46 Antique Pink is a pretty dusky pink shade, like a 'my lips but better' colour. It's great for a quick swipe of colour or buildable for a deeper and fuller shade.

For my lazy girl days, the Clinique Chubby Sticks are my go-to. My current shade of choice is Woppin' Watermelon, a baby pink shade that adds a slight tint of colour and gloss without looking too over the top. I'm much more of a 'swipe and go' kinda gal, so something that I don't need a mirror to apply with is right up my alley.

The easiest way to switch up my makeup between seasons is on my eyes, I have my darker shades for the winter then lighter and bronze shades for the summer! My current palette of choice is the L'Oreal La Palette Nude, which I remember bloggers going crazy over a few years ago. It has a selection of pink and purple shades (my favourites!) which are mainly shimmer, but there are a few matte shades too. I like to use the silver shimmer (3rd in from the right) right in the center of my eyelid to make my eyes look brighter.

Black eyeliner can feel a little harsh during the warmer months when I'm aiming for a softer look, so I opt for dark brown instead. The one I have in my stash is the Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner 24hr in 02 Brown and I use the Real Techniques Angled Brush to apply it. This formula is fab, it's not too drying or stiff to apply and it has great colour payoff!

What makeup do you use during Spring?
