This Month I...

September has gone all too quick for me - we're almost at the end of 2016! As always, it's been a busy month for me. I love the start of September as it's a new season and start again, like going back to school and October doesn't look like it's going to be much quieter either...

This Month I... ate a lot of afternoon tea! In one weekend I had two afternoon teas, not that I'm complaining... One was for my sister's hen party at the Mews Of Mayfair in London and the other (above) was with a few girls from school at Alexander House in West Sussex. My afternoon etiquette always begins with savoury, then onto the scones and finally the cakes, leaving the best until last!

This Month I... went to Skiathos, Greece! Instead of spending money on buying new clothes, makeup etc. I saved up to go on holiday. It was the perfect break before starting a few full on months before the end of the year. Skiathos is a tiny little island, with loads of beaches and sunny weather, plus scenes from Mamma Mia! were filmed there too.

This Month I... read My Sister's Keeper. On holiday I took 4 books with me, and read 3 and 1/2, not too bad going! My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult has been on my to-read list for ages and I finally got round to reading it whilst on the beach. I did really enjoy reading it, again it's a split narrative and on a subject I haven't read about before. If you've seen the film, the ending it totally different to the book, which really really annoys me because films should always stick to the original books!

This Month I... watched Bridget Jones's Baby. Being a big Bridget Jones fan from the films and the books, I was so looking forward to watching this film! Despite it being totally different to the third book, I actually prefer this version. What I love about Bridget Jones is that she's so relatable, never gives up and always has a positive attitude. There are some real funny moments, like Bridget going to her first festival and in labour. Definitely go see it with your friends or mum!

This Month I... experience my first hen party! My sister is getting married in October, so on the 17th September we took her and 18 of her friends and family up to London for a day of afternoon tea eating and cocktail making. It was so much fun and I really enjoyed the whole day! Cocktail making was my favourite part because I do love a good cocktail...

What did you get up to in September?

Thanks for reading!
