This Month I....

August was a busy one, and September and October are set to be just as busy! Even though the British weather wasn't up to much this month, I still managed to get out and tick off more things on the to-do list. And everyone loves a bank holiday, right?! Catch up with July here.

This Month I.... August, Afternoon Tea, Horsham, Pretty Things, Cake, Birthday, Present

This Month I.... ate a delicious afternoon tea! My friend Rachel treated me to a belated birthday afternoon tea at Pretty Things in Horsham. It's such a cute mis-match tea shop with delicious homemade scones and cakes too. If you're looking for an inexpensive afternoon tea or cake cafe in Horsham or West Sussex, definitely check them out!

This Month I.... August, Look Fantastic, Haul, Beauty Haul, La Roche Posay, Decleor, Korres, Beauty, Blogger,

This Month I... bought a few beauty products from Look Fantastic. I did a haul post here about my first haul from Look Fantastic and first impressions. Since using them for about 3 weeks now, I've really been enjoying them all! My favourites are the La Roche Posay Serozinc and Effaclar Duo + for getting rid of my spots, even though they didn't work that well during my time of the month, they're doing a great job now!

This Month I.... August, Read, Book, The Girl On The Train, Paula Hawkins, Book Review, Review

This Month I... read The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins. And became addicted to it! I thoroughly enjoyed this thriller book and can't wait for the film to come out. I did a full book review post here, but found it to live up to it's hyped status. Books with a split narrative and time setting really help to keep it interesting and I had no idea that the big twist at the end was coming...

This Month I.... August, Film, Watched, Suicide Squad, Review, Suicide Squad Review, DC

This Month I... watched Suicide Squad. There were a lot of mixed reviews about this film and I totally get that. I felt like the evil character could've had a lot more to it, it just didn't seem like a true baddie. Margot Robbie and Will Smith were definitely my favourite characters as they played their roles so well, especially Harley Quinn! I'd give it a 7/10 overall.

This Month I.... August, Benefit, Benefit Cosmetics, Good Ship Benefit, Marie Claire, Brows, Makeup, London, Thames

This Month I.... August, Tower Of London, London, Visit, History,

This Month I... went on board the Good Ship Benefit and visited the Tower Of London. August was an exciting month for doing things it seems! My friend Kamila and I went to the Marie Claire and Benefit Cosmetics event on board the Good Ship Benefit at the beginning of August, trying out their latest brow range and getting complimentary treatments. Catch up with my Benefit event post here. Then I ticked off a visit to the Tower Of London from my to-do list, I had no idea there was so much to do there! Luckily we picked a day with the sunniest weather and I really enjoyed learning about the tower's history.

The next two months are going to be really exciting as I'm going on holiday next weekend and it's my sister's wedding in October - so excited!!

How was August for you?

Thanks for reading!
