There comes a point, usually every summer, when I end up blending in with my clothes. Even my grandad likes to point out just how pale I am in comparison. But will that stop me wearing white? No, the only thing that would is if I continue to spill food or drinks down me and I stain it (surprisingly, not the first time it's happened.) I like the simplicity of this dress, it has pairs of buttons together, a cute peter pan collar and a cross pattern on top. It's ideal in the summer as it's light and girly, but worn with black tights, a chunky cardigan and knee high boots and it works for winter too!

We need to chat about these sandals. Never would I think I would've bothered with lace-up sandals, they may look cool and different but having to re-tie them every few minutes is a pain. Plus the first time I wore then in Florence, I got gorgeous black marks right where the leather strap was that would not go away, even after countless scrubbing. I haven't worked out a solution for that yet, but I'll keep you well informed of my stained-feet journey.

Saying that, I find they're so comfortable to wear! Finding sandals for my wide feet can be annoying, but these fit perfectly without rubbing. I'm now an expert in tying ribbon knots around my ankles and can successfully go without tying them up every few minutes. And I kind of feel like a gladiator/Greek woman!

What do you think of this outfit? Have you tried lace up sandals before?

Thanks for reading!
