One of my favourite posts to read are beauty or fashion tips and tricks, so I thought I'd share a few fashion ones up my sleeve! From shopping to packing for holidays, I've picked out a few of my favourites. I've previously done a few beauty ones here and here so make sure you catch them too. Share your best beauty tips and hacks in the comments below - I'm always on the look out for new ones!
- Invest in a scarf hanger. If you like scarves like me, these are so handy for keeping them all nice and in place. Tesco have a bargain one for £2 here.
- Wash dark jeans inside out. This stops the colour from fading so quickly, and not hanging them in direct sunlight to dry will also help them from fading too!
- Put clothes in colour order. It makes picking out stuff a lot easier. I go one step further and separate them into categories too e.g. jeans, trousers, dresses
- Keep sachets of lavender in draws and your wardrobe. This makes your clothes smell fresh and deters insects too.
- A pashima works in multiple ways. I have a few different colours and styles, perfect as a scarf, a shawl, umbrella and a blanket too!
- Put lingerie and small delicates in bags when packing for holiday. This stops them from getting tangled up or lost.
- Write a list before going clothes shopping. You wouldn't go food shopping without writing a list would you? It helps to avoid splurges on clothes.
- Plan your 'shopping' outfit. For example, I'll always wear a white t-shirt, nude bra, blue jeans and pumps - something that's easy to wear and take off when trying on clothes.
- Work out the worth per wear. If you're investing in clothing, make sure it's something you'll love and wear all the time, rather than just one occasion.
- Carry a clear nail polish with you to stop laddered tights. This was a school-girl trick I learnt, but if you get a ladder in your tights just add a small amount of nail polish to stop it laddering further.
What's your best fashion tip or hack?
