Beauty Review: Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water 400ml £4.99 RRP

Micellar cleansing waters have become a hyped and must-have product for the past few years, so I thought it was time to try out the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. Previously I've used Garnier's other competitor, L'Oreal and found that it does the job okay but waterproof mascara is tricky to remove. My usual routine will start with taking my makeup off with a micellar water and 4 cotton pads, then moving onto a cream cleanser to get rid of any lasting bits.

I do prefer this micellar cleanser to the L'Oreal version, because it does take off more makeup without me having to scrub my skin to a beetroot shade. The dispenser is so much easier too! You're much more in control and the shape allows you to grip it better. Not only that but for 200 uses, I managed to pick this up from Savers for £2.30, rather than the usual £4.99 RRP (and there's a cute 100ml travel version that I love!)

Only negative point is that it does leave a weird film on my skin. I can't quite describe it but it feels smooth and a little sticky! Not sure whether this is just me, but I always cleanser afterwards so the feeling doesn't hang around for too long.

Once this runs out (if it ever does!) I'll definitely be repurchasing again as an alternative to the L'Oreal version or facial wipes.

What do you think of Micellar Cleansing Waters? Have you tried the Gariner or L'Oreal versions before?

Thanks for reading!
