Book Review: Billy And Me by Giovanna Fletcher

Recently I've been getting through so many books, 'hooked' I guess you can say! I have a large stack of chic lit that I've been collecting for a while and need to get through (it's a genuine tower next to my bookshelf).

I picked up Billy And Me because of its front cover is fairly eye catching - and I know you're not suppose to judge a book by its cover, but still! It revolves around a character called Sophie May who lives a mundane life in her town and works in the local tea shop. Then Hollywood actor Billy turns up to shoot a Pride & Prejudice film in her town and one thing leads to another...

It's a nice and easy read, something you can comfortably sit down and read for a few hours and end up immersed. Almost a too easy read, it's a story that's too good to be true and makes you think 'could that really happen?!' But Billy And Me does have some poignant moments when you discover what happened to Sophie's Dad and how it's affect her relationship with her Mum and also when her close friend and colleague, Molly is diagnosed with cancer.

Overall I'd give Billy And Me 4/5 stars, it's a great example of a chic lit with a whirl wind romance and touch of reality. If you're in need of a light read for a holiday or something for you to escape the world from, then I'd definitely recommend this!

Have you read this book before? What's your favourite chic lit book?

Thanks for reading!
