My Top 5 Lip Balms

Top 5 Lip Balms

Dry lips are the bane of my life. I'm pretty awful for applying lip balm regularly, let alone lipstick! I always use to be a Boots own lip balm kinda gal, but I've seemed to have grown a little collection of lip balms over the years...

Top 5 Lip Balms Carmex

A classic lip balm for everyone. Carmex has been a favourite of mine for years, it tastes bloody good and makes your lips tingle! I know you're not really suppose to eat lip balm, but when it tastes this good... I've been through two pots now and just discovered the tube balm (best invention yet) It does keep your lips moisturised, but I find I have to apply this one a lot more through out the day compared to others.

Top 5 Lip Balms Maybelline Baby Lips

The over-hyped Baby Lips from a few years ago are one of my daily go-to lip balms. I have the Intense Care and Mint Fresh, which is another one I love the smell of! Intensive Care stays on my bedside table and makes for a great overnight lip balm as it's not too sticky but provides good moisture during the night. I do adore the smell of Mint Fresh and it is a great every day lip balm to provide lightweight hydration.

Top 5 Lip Balms balance Me

I'm still pretty new to balance Me products, but if the rest of their range is as good as their lip balms, then I know I'll love them! Both of these came with two past Glamour issues and I've used them on and off for a while now. I love the fact they're both from 100% origin, as it really makes a difference to your skincare. The tinted lip salve (left) has a slight sheen to it, so I normally pick up the intensive lip salve (right) especially as it smells like roses!

Top 5 Lip Balms Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream

So not technically a lip balm, but pretty amazing even so. The Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream provides relief to dry and chapped skin, softens cuticles and rough patches, but I prefer using it for dry lips. This product might be a bit like marmite to some people, but it's my most used lip balm for when I've got super dry lips. The consistency is quite thick and adds a gloss to your lips and has a strong scent, but works to soften my chapped lips.

Top 5 Lip Balms Burt's Bees

And saving the best until last! I only recently picked this up after searching for a natural lip balm that still does the job. So many people recommend Burt's Bees, especially the grapefruit version, and not one to miss out, I finally got my own. I absolutely adore this. There's no other way to say it! It provides an average moisture, nothing too intense or sticky, whilst keeping your lips chapped free. And making me want to eat it...

What's your favourite lip balm? Do you like eating them as much as I do?!
