Beauty Hype: hydraluron moisture boosting facial serum

After months of hype and miracle-working promises - I've given into the hype. And boy, was it worth it! I've always thought of serums as an unnecessary product to add to a lengthy skincare routine of double cleansing, toning, moisturising, eye cream etc. I'm definitely all about a quick and effective daily beauty routine! But then this wonderful product had to go and prove me wrong...

Described as increasing skin hydration and holding up to 1,000 times its weight in water, I had high expectations (especially due to its nice price tag!) It's a clear gel that doesn't smell of anything in particular and dries pretty quickly, leaving you with smooth, hydrated and non-greasy skin. You're suppose to apply it before adding your normal moisturiser, but, not going to lie, I do forget to and then add it on afterwards! I use a small pea-size amount to cover my whole face and I can see the tub is going to last me for quite a while.

Results: I don't know whether it's because I'm eating better and drinking more water, less stressed etc. but my skin hasn't been this clear and soft in ages. I was apprehensive of applying this over my skin problem areas, but it's helped to significantly reduce the appearance of blemishes and given my skin an overall boost. Personally, I find it most effective at night and follow it with my light Simple face moisturiser but it does act as a nice base during the day too.

I could rave on about this wonder product for the next hour, but lets keep it short and sweet. Despite it's hefty price and masses of hype, it actually works. Sometimes the hype does have some truth in it!

What do you think of this product? Do you use serums?

Thanks for reading!
