Review: Me Before You By Jojo Moyes

Review Me Before You By Jojo Moyes

The hype around this book has had me excited to read it for a while now. It's been passed around the women of my family and our friends many times now and it finally landed on my book case a few weeks ago! I'll give a short description of the book, as always, I recommend reading it yourself so I won't give away the ending!

Lou Clark is employed to be Will Traynor's carer, he's a quadriplegic which means he's paralysed in both arms and legs and needs a carer to do the day-to-day bits and lift his general spirits. Even though she hates every minute at first, they soon become friends and as she finds out that Will is prepared to take his own life in Switzerland, they embark on a 'bucket list' of adventures to change his mind.

It's one of those books that takes you through all the emotions, I laughed and cried, felt anger and sadness all at once. The book also opened my eyes to what life as a quadriplegic would be like, which makes you so very grateful for the life you have. I finished it in just over a week, as I was reading it in all of my 'revision breaks' and literally couldn't put it down! I'd liken it to My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult, because of the medical references and unexpected twist at the end.

So, as if this review isn't enough, GO READ IT! Now. Let me know if you're read this book before, it's a definite favourite of mine now!

Thanks for reading!
Rhiannon xx
