London Fashion Week Trends: Structured Tailoring

During my work experience week I managed to get a piece published on the London Fashion Week and the trends that came from it. So as a little blog follow up I thought I'd put together two outfits from that trend. Enjoy!

Shirt: Primark (men's)
Trousers, Shoes and Belt: New Look

What pops to mind when structured tailoring is mentioned is definitely shirts in my mind. Printed or plain, I love them all. This one was a bargain in the sale in the men's section, most likely a fraction of the price from the woman's department! This outfit is more smart office wear but its still comfortable, as the trousers are almost a suede or soft cotton (I have no clue...) which makes them cosy and loose at the same time.

Blazer: Primark
Shirt and Shoes: New Look
Jeans: M&S

To me, structured tailoring means simple, clean cut lines in a plain pallet, which I think can be just as effective as something bright, patterned and in your face. This shirt has to be a favourite, although it creases like crazy! Plus this blazer was also a bargain in the Primark sale, it's blue chiffony fabric makes it feel like its worth a lot more! Good fitted jeans are also a must for structured tailoring and I just can't get away from my skinnies!

What's your favourite structured tailored pieces?

Thanks for reading!
