London Fashion Week Trends: Leather

During my work experience week I managed to get a piece published on the London Fashion Week and the trends that came from it. So as a little blog follow up I thought I'd put together two outfits from that trend. Enjoy!

Gilet and Dress: New Look
Boots: Topshop

I'm not one for a leather top or trouser look, whether its the fit or quality I'm just never sold from high street shops, so I tend to stick to accessories as such. I've had this gilet for a while now, I remember picking it up in the sale one year, even though its a size six which is too small for me! I would easily wear this on a night out to the pub with a cardigan thrown on and perhaps add a bit of silver jewellery and pumps or heels for a night out out. It's such a wearable outfit with just a little nod to the leather trend.

Jacket: Topshop
Top: Mango
Jeans: M&S
Shoes: River Island

Of course no post on the leather trend could not mention a leather jacket! Mine is pretty old now but it comes with a hood which is pretty handy in British weather! Something about Breton stripes and leather seems to scream effortlessly cool and on trend. My fading jeans and leather high top wedge trainers just add to that biker look, with the extra high and pop of burgundy adding a little feminine touch to the whole outfit.

What's your favourite leather pieces?

Thanks for reading!
