Review: Superdrug Hot Cloth Cleanser

To me, cleansing it just a simple cream you put on your face to take off any make up then just wash off afterwards. But after hearing much hype about the Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser and it's £25 for 200ml price tag, I was on the search for a dupe.

I'll gladly admit that I use make up wipes regularly to take my make up off, then using the L'Oreal micellar water to delicately take my eye make up off but I've added this into my routine as a 'deep' cleanser. Using it about four times a week, especially on 'heavy' make up days, I've noticed a real difference in my skin.

It's consistency is quite thick, but foamy at the same time if that makes sense! I spend a few minutes rubbing it into my skin, then rinsing the muslin cloth in hot water and finally polishing my skin off. Now, at first I wasn't too sure what 'polishing' meant so I just gently rubbed my skin to take off any make up, which seems to be working!

Perhaps using it in conjunction with my Korres moisturiser it's helped my skin improve a lot. It's sometimes a bit fiddly to use and quite time consuming, having to polish it all etc. And you can't use it to take off eye make up and it will probably sting if you do! Despite that I do enjoy using it and probably will repurchase it again, as it's good value for money and does help cleanse my skin a bit deeper than other products I've used.

Have you tried this product? What cleansers do you use?

Thanks for reading!

  1. I LOVE hot cloth cleansers, they feel so nice to use! At the moment I'm using one by No7 which is only a few pounds when you have one of those vouchers but when it runs out I really want to try the REN one xxx
