Beauty: Grapefruit and Peppermint

Fridays are always my days off to get all the mundane jobs done and today was no exception. Sorting out a new passport, changing dentist and picking up a few (much needed of course) beauty products! And Boots were having a 3 for 2 across most of the store so it was inevitably going to happen anyway.

I was after a new bronzer as most of mine have got a slight shimmer in them. I randomly found this tucked away on a Maybelline stand, which was lucky as this was the last one! I tried to do a swatch but its quite light so it didn't come up that well. It'll be good for contouring and light bronzing as I'm quite fair and don't fancy having the stripy brown zebra look!

The eyeliners were the main items I needed to get really. Another repurchase of the Collection eyeliner, which is seriously good. Surprising for how much it actually costs and how long it lasts, plus the tip is thin enough to do little flicks but easily buildable for a stronger look. I heard a lot of good reviews about the Rimmel eyeliners and as they were under a fiver I just had to try them out! I usually have trouble with eyeliner and mascara smudges but I've been testing these two out today and so far no smudges! But they do need a few applications throughout the day. They're so smooth and creamy too which is a bonus for any eye make up as you don't want any drag. Overall I'd recommend all three!

If you've read my blog for a while now, you'll know that I'm a massive fan of Soap and Glory. I saw a review on Project Flawless Blog and as my skin is looking a bit sad at the moment, I though its time for a new face mask treat! I'm a bit apprehensive about how intensive this mask is but I'll be sure to give it a whirl.  It's quite a thick consistency so I'm sure a little will go a long way. Plus it smells like peppermint which must mean good things, no?!

Another repurchase! I've been using my current one for about a year now, applying the gel underneath my eyes every night and its only just running out now. Definitely great value for money. Although it'll never get rid of my dark circles or lines, it does a pretty good job of toning them down! Most of the ingredients are from plant extracts from the Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew and, if anyone knows me, I love a natural product that does just as good a job as all the chemically and expensive brands!

I really got this on a whim. After using other Neutrogena face products in the past with good results, I have high hopes for this one! It'll give my skin a change from my usual Simple Cleanser and it smells so good! I'm beginning to see a pattern with what I bought now.... I think the smell of the product plays a massive part in selling itself, no one wants to rub something that smells like old socks on their face do they?!

Have you used any of these products before? What are they like?

Thanks for reading!
