Coat, Cardigan and Bag: Zara
Skirt: New Look
Boots and Scarf: Primark

No clue why the lighting has changed in these images! Any techno person care to explain? I didn't change anything! Anyho, I bought this gorgeous skirt last week when Christmas shopping in London. I wanted a tartan skirt that won't look like a kilt that's too out there but still on trend. Plus I had vouchers from my birthday still (yup, that was in July) to use.

As this blog is an extension of me basically, I should probably tell you some sad news that happened this week. My little (alright, chubby) cat died yesterday :( it was a massive shock, as he was fine in the morning, annoyingly sitting on my lap whilst I tried to do my make-up, finally settling on my bed before I left. My mum found him in the day, just lying in the sun but obviously something wasn't right. I do miss him horribly, we've had him for about 12 years and it's just not the same without him :(  I don't want to dwell on it too much, he lived a very happy life. But it's not healthy to think about it too much and eventually it'll get better. At the moment I guess it hasn't sunk in yet.

Tomorrow me, my sister and mum and a few of our family friends are off to Bath for some Christmas shopping, so I'll try and post there but who knows what the Wifi will be like!

Body Issues #2

Image from Pinterest

This is a little follow up from my last post on Body Issues. I guess I wanted to talk about my own experience and what the whole beauty culture is like nowadays.

Everyone has days when they don't feel as good as the day before (heck, right now I've got mismatched jogging bottoms and a hoody on with hair I haven't washed in about three days and zilch make-up!) but to class that as an 'ugly' day is just ridiculous. Sure, we have good days and bad days, but isn't it more about the person than it is about their clothes/hair/make-up? In the end we've all just gotta accept what we got and deal with it. I'm always jealous of confident people who can become the life and soul of the party with minimal effort. I guess there's still that awkward and shy ginger girl with out of control hair and a slightly larger nose than what people class as 'normal' but even so, there's no point changing who I am coz who wants to follow the herd?!

Clearly this is a massive issue, with too many different tangents to even mention but how the media represent the types of 'normal' girls, the type of girls boys are into, the type of 'perfect' models etc etc, is having a profound affect on girls and boys growing up today. Although I've never felt the pressure to change what I wear or how I look (thankfully, my family and friends keep me grounded), I do feel for the girls and boys growing up at this time. The pressures from social media is an ever growing demon (and angel, if you look at the positives) with the term 'perfection' used too frivolously.

Now that's only a slight slither of my opinion, but I do want to hear yours!
How to you feel about today's culture?
What do you think could change it?
What's your own experience of it?

Body Issues

Coat: Zara
Jumper: Charity Shop
Leggings and Shoes: Topshop
Bag: New Look

Although I do moan about winter (who doesn't!) I love a good jumper and boot combo. I bought this jumper ages ago in a town down south called Lewes, for something ridiculously cheap. But it's too big to wear just as a jumper with jeans, so I always add a belt and leggings just to avoid that wearing a sack look! Also, I think I've worked out a better place to take my pictures as the light is a massive pain and got the right angle and all that jazz, so hopefully when Monday swings around again, I'll have the perfect photos for you guys!

Recently, I've hardly slept at all, mostly because I've got so much going on, evading me from sleep with everyday just blurring into one at the moment! My oh-so-exciting Saturday is filled with sorting out everything that's going on in my head so I'll hopefully get some sleep tonight!

For some of you who don't know, my dream job is to be a journalist. Partly why I've been getting no sleep, but no one ever said it was going to be an easy job! I had the idea of doing an article for my portfolio on body issues, after seeing Rebecca Adlington breaking down in tears on the issue on I'm A Celebrity, I fancied the challenge of addressing it. Which is where I need your help! Obviously I won't have to mention your name in the article if you don't want to be, but I'd love to know your ideas on body issues, so I can try and get the whole picture across the range of issues. If you want you can leave me comments on it, tweet me or email me on

A massive thank you in advance!!

Talking about Christmas..... Again

Coat and Bag: Zara
Cardigan and Jeans: M&S
Top: Primark
Shoes: Topshop

Oooh a blast from the past with this top! Sometimes Primark actually do some good quality stuff that lasts for ages, this top being one of them. I'm still having a play around with the tripod and camera, working out what's best but I reckon I could add in a shoe shot, coz you aren't getting much here! And perhaps a few up close images of jewellery etc. The things I do for you blog!

Today was my first official Christmas shopping day, apart from last week. I travelled up to London with my mum and sister, with plans to hit Covent Garden, Regent Street and Oxford Street. Perhaps not entirely shopping just for Christmas presents for others, I did pick up a tartan skirt, a white vest, after I found a hole in mine :( and the famous, super cosy Primark tights with reports of snow on it's way! I am feeling a bit more organised with my presents this year, I usually end up buying a load of crap when I've run out of time/ideas! Hopefully I'll be able to get a few unique gifts at Bath Christmas Markets next week, which I'm going to with my mum, sister and a few family friends! How exciting.

At the moment the rest of my evening will consist of I'm a Celebrity, catching up on Youtube videos and online shopping, I manged to get all my shorthand work out of the way earlier, thank god!

Hope you all have a good weekend!

Where's My Car?!

Coat: Zara
Jumper and Shirt: Primark
Scarf and Boots: New Look

Hi everyone! Okay, so I do like winter, but not when it's raining and windy. Every time I go to my internship I'm forced to wear 100 layers just to keep warm, hence the reason for the super fluffy Primark jumper, which is still massive might I point out! When are Primark going to sort out their sizing issues! I'll warn you that probably from now on all my outfits are going to be black or dark colours due to winter arriving and me being too lazy to be imaginative with my clothes.

I thought I should share this story with you because a) it demonstrates just how stupid I am b) it shows how short my memory is. I usually park my car in a similar spot in the morning at the train station as even getting there before 8 it's already three quarters full. When I went to get my car last night, I spotted a blue clio in the area that I usually park so I literally went up to the door trying to open it, to soon realise it obviously it wasn't my car. Then the people behind me started giving me really weird looks, to which I ran off to my own car, parked where I left it that morning. I think I need a tracker for my car now!

Tomorrow I'm off to London with my mum and sister to do some Christmas shopping, yay! Oxford Street and Covent Garden here we come!

Beanie, yay or nay?!

Coat: Zara
Jumper: Topshop
Jeans: Asos
Converse: Schuh
Bag: New Look

Yup, she finally got round to actually getting a tripod *puts professional blogger head on* and I manage to get the camera out of focus *takes it off* Man, it's a ton easier with a tripod. Now I know why people use them. Well, it was an extremely late birthday present from my brother, but he did get me a beautiful watch too, so I'll forgive him. I've never been much of a beanie kinda gal, but I do love this green one, just the right size and thickness, no bobble either (I do not understand the point in them! Are they suppose to keep you warm or something?!)

As I currently write this I may be slightly tipsy from the pub with the college lot then a few more when I got back a while ago, so I do apologise. But then again, they do say that alcohol brings out the best in people sometimes, so who knows, this could be the new way forward for my blog! Another busy and intense week, I'll admit I have a mini break down last night coz all the work was getting too much but I knew that I wasn't putting 100% in to it anyway, so dragged myself out of my sulk to watch Eminem's interview with Zane Lowe. It's split into four parts an I'm on three, but oh my. Eminem is a genius, no doubt about that. So glad that I saw him at Reading, him plus Biffy Clyro and a few others were my highlight. Definitely one of those moments you'll never get back again, I'll stop blabbering now.

Hope you're all having a good week!

Bugs and Leopard Print

Jumper: New Look
Dress and Boots: Topshop

I'll admit, I was pretty chilly in this dress. They should make self-heating tights! New invention right there people! I do love this dress though, the shape and neckline actually suits my boyish-with-no-curves frame. Although it's a pain to get out of, with the buttons all down the front.

Today and yesterday I've just been catching up on college work and working as usual, so I'm pretty pooped! Even though Downton ended last Sunday (is it just me who's getting bored with Mary now?!) I'm A Celeb is back on and it's got Carlton from FRESH PRINCE OF BEL AIR. Oh my, I am looking forward to it. I can recite the whole theme tune now. Life goal accomplished! I don't think I could stay in a jungle for that long and just eat beans and rice and bugs, definitely a home comforts kinda person! Would you be able to spend a week in the jungle?! I'd be intrigued to find anyone who wants to!

Hope you all had a good weekend!

Saturday, 16 November 2013 boots.

Cardigan: Zara
Top and Skirt: New Look
Shoes: Topshop

Ooohh, look, I have no head! Also excuse the funny shape shirt, I've lost a button on it :( So this was what I actually wore yesterday to my internship with my added mac coat and massive scarf coz it was bloomin' freezing!! Let's just appreciate the boots for a few moments..... aren't they so cool? My other boots all seem a bit frumpy and big, whereas these a quite feminine and quirky, although don't walk through a puddle with them, all splashed through the gap :(

A pretty quick week again, besides feeling like death for most of it (the cold has eventually started to go now...) Spoke to Kamila last night on Skype, all the way over in Cardiff! Sometimes its good to have some one talk some sense into you and pick you back up! Which was part of the reason why there was no post last night, plus I couldn't find my SD card anywhere. And I was watching a lot of Youtube videos and forgot! Right now I'm just by the fire, sorting out a ton of work then onto the X Factor and finally the Jonathan Ross show, Eminem is on tonight apparently, eek!!

Hope you're all having a good weekend!

Christmas has officially arrived

Cardigan: Zara
Top and Jeans: H&M
Necklace: Topshop

Howdy guys! I've been quite lazy this week with my blog photos, but I've been having to leave early coz of the bloomin' roadworks outside the train station! Of course you never see anyone working there...

On to the outfit, those jeans again! I've only worn them once this week though (hi-five!) But I've had to put them in the wash after I sat on a wet seat on the train today, I'm really hoping it's just water.... the usual things that happen to Rhiannon on a daily basis. Obviously my love of statement jewellery will never go, especially with this beauty. Surprisingly light, which I find is a massive problem with most jewellery.

Again, this week has been another blur of college and feeling ill (thanks for the cold, Mum). But today I dragged myself out of bed after a late-ish night at the pub with the college bunch to go to the Ideal Home Christmas Show. Me and the mother managed to get free tickets to the event and spent most of the day wandering around all the stalls, feeling oh-so christmassy with the music playing and our lovely colds. Also I bought the first Christmas present there! And the Christmas mugs have officially landed in the Pulling household...

Tomorrow is get rid of the cold day! I've got my internship tomorrow and I'll be sorting out all my blog photos from this week and having a general sort out of all my college work over the weekend, exciting.... not! haha

Hope you're all having a great week!

People say that you should always follow your dreams and not let anything get in the way of that. If that means you want to be an astronaut but you're scared of heights, push yourself until you get on that shuttle. Sometimes I feel like we can all be a bit lazy with our aspirations (myself included) however, with a little kick start we can do it.

Things that have been happening recently which has got me thinking, what do I actually want out of this life?! Moving out of the folks home, getting a full time job and all those 'grown up' rituals are freaking the hell out of me! Mostly because I worry that I'll end up in a job or living in a place that's not part of my 'dream'.

Rewinding back to the past two months, I've had my first proper girls holiday, spent my birthday on a beach with no 99p ice creams or fish n chips were to be seen, went to a festival and survived, had my first legal drink and finally became an adult.... apparently. If I could, I'd 100% relive this past summer again. Although, I guess the whole point of this education shenanigan is that I'm actually suppose to get a career and make something of myself.

Who knows who, what or where I'll be in the next five years or even this time next year? Suppose it's one that's gonna be figured out on the way.

What's your dreams and aspirations? Worry about the future just as much as I do (please tell me there's someone like me! haha)

Snood Love

Jacket: Topshop
Jumper and Snood: Primark
Jeans: H&M
Gloves: Accessorize

OOohh I do love a good snood! Although before washing it there was a lot of fluff in the face scenarios. Not attractive! This is such a pretty jumper, still kinda fluffy like those Primark jumpers out and about at the moment but mixed with a purple and pink wool. Don't ask what's going on with my hands in the left picture, it's one of those moments when my camera is counting down and I end up doing a weird pose! Annoyingly, I got to the station before I realised that these gloves have massive holes in :( Another thing added to the Christmas list...

Speaking of which, has anyone actually started their Christmas shopping?! I'm barely over summer! My sister said that she's bought all of my presents already, which is just crazy. But I am trying to start thinking of things to get people, making lists is one of my pleasures in life (Sad, I know).

Anyone else started their Christmas list yet? Anyone actually BOUGHT anything? I'd love to know how you guys get organised for Christmas!

Thanks for reading!

My Tattoo Experience

As mentioned in yesterday's post I finally got my tattoo done!

Being something that I've wanted for a long time (I'm talking years here....) once I was 18 I started looking around at tattoo parlours in Brighton and where I live. Last weekend me and my sister popped down to Brighton for a consultation with a guy from a parlour that we'd both been to before. But he said that he wouldn't be able to do it the size a want (this one here is perfect size, roughly 5 cms) and would have to do it double the size above!! Some tattooists are picky about what they do and what size etc but even so I wasn't exactly happy!

In the end after my sister's searching we found a parlour in our home town with good reviews and able to do my tattoo for me. Even though I didn't feel amazing when it was getting done, I'm pretty glad that I went through with it now.

This image is just under two days since I've had it done, so its surprisingly calm but I know the scabbing is yet to come! They recommend nappy rash cream to keep it moisturised, so it was slightly awkward to say the least when I had to ask for it in Sainsbury's! At the moment it's still slightly swollen along the shading part, which hurt the most, but it'll settle soon.

I've always been obsessed with swallows, so it just made sense really. For me, swallows mean loyalty, as they always fly home and stay true to themselves. It's always associated with sailors and representing their travelling, but it also said that if a sailor drowns, their swallow will carry their souls to heaven, which I want my tattoo to represent too.

What do you guys think of it? Would you ever get a tattoo done? If so what would you get?

Jacket and Earrings : Topshop
Cardigan: Zara
Top: Primark
Jeans: H&M
Shoes: Converse

Howdy one and all! How are we this week? Not blogging for three days a week is a real pain, not to mention the huge backlog of blogs I have to catch up on. But as usual, another crazy week left me with hardly any time! I wore this outfit a couple of weeks ago when I went out for dinner with Kamila. I found this top crying at the back of my wardrobe as I haven't worn it in a while, whereas when I first got it I wore it to death. Girly, simple and flattering, who knew Primark could tick all those boxes?!

Monday was my usual college day, which I left with a huge list of homework I have to do :( Tuesday rolled around to tattoo day! More on that tomorrow though.... I had some moral support from a friend which practically saved me! A quick stop at the fish and chip shop, god I've missed it. After having fish and chips twice a week when I used to work there, it took ages to ween off it!

Wednesday was probably the longest day of the week and maybe most dull. We have video journalist doing a few sessions with us for the next couple of weeks, but god was it long. I'm not sure whether she assumed that we all had a basic background in photography, but it was pretty complicated. I do have a basic background on cameras and photography, mostly from this blog and from Media A-Level, but I felt totally lost! Hopefully it'll be better next week! And then a pig out of sushi with my brother, perfect bonding food!

Today I've been catching up on everything as usual, a ton of shorthand out the way this morning and a few articles written, just leaves my list of baking I have to do for my mums charity coffee morning and an appointment with the osteopath, my back's bad again :(

Hope you're all having a good week!

Pumpkin Crazy

Hi? Remember me? It's been a while, too long. But I haven't forgotten you blog! I'll start with at the beginning of the crazy week:

Monday, the day after the 'Super Storm' hit, was just mad. No trains in my area running until  midday at least and even then I'd have to catch three trains just to get to London Bridge, so my first day of work experience didn't get off to the best of starts! I just gave up and came home, which I'm pretty glad about coz people were getting stuck in London with no trains running home anyway.

Tuesday started with my first day off at the IPC publishing house which holds names like Marie Claire, Look, Woman & Home to name but a few. So to say that I was a fish out of water was an understatement! But even so the whole experience was amazing and it's really made me more motivated to get my qualifications and get a job on a magazine that suits my style.

Friday whizzed around but didn't end with that good with me feeling ill :( I hate feeling ill and actually being ill, which is why I always sanitiser my hands etc (health freak basically). Work kindly let me have the Saturday morning off, which was spent in bed watching films for the most part. By the time I felt human again, I had to get ready for my sisters Halloween/Bonfire Party, which all my family came to, so it was one of the best evening I've had in a long while, plus she always bakes the best cakes ever! Of course it was a fancy dress party......

Yup, I'm a pumpkin, with my sister who's the cliche cat! The amount of jokes I got about being pregnant is enough to fill another post unfortunately! Aren't her cakes amazing?! Don't worry, it wasn't real glass! After a really long show of fireworks (which I now can't get the smell out of my hair!) I managed to crawl into bed, hence the reason for no posts.

Back to normal this week, so usual routine. Strangely I'm actually looking forward to going back to college..... Excitingly I got that internship I was talking about a while ago! So every Thursday I'll be working at a magazine in Brighton! Agghhh!

Hope you all have a lovely week!
