Rhiannon's Raving Report #23

Image from The Mirror

So, one of the biggest stories this week is Simon Cowell's lover's unexpected pregnancy. There's been so many rumours about how they met, what actually happened and her past love life, it's pretty hard to understand what has actually happened! I think it's come as a surprise to everyone really, all I want to know is what's going to happen next?!

This image is the winner of the National Geographic Traveller Photo Contest, showing the participants running into the Rio Negro or Black River in Brazil. There's so many amazing photos shown in the link (with over 15,000 people applying for the contest!), my favourite has to be the lady with the watering cans!

A massive uproar has occurred over the potential hydraulic fracking in Balcombe, West Sussex. It's weird coz it's not that far away from me and it's been in the news so much! Anyway, protesters have set up camp there for 10 days now, with the company Cuadrilla beginning to drill on the site last Friday. Clearly this issue isn't going to be solved quickly or easily.

How cute are these cubs?! They're called Lilger cubs after their mother, the tiger and their father, the lion, strangely enough Lilger's have been known since the 19th century in India, so they're not a new discovery! Visitors coming to the zoo in southern Russia have been flocking to see the new cubs, can't blame them really!

Thank for reading!
