Rhiannon's Raving Report #19

Image from BBC
Glastonbury festival! I've been catching up on all my favourite artists and bands over the weekend, especially Bastille (Above), I loved them! I also watched Professor Green, Rita Ora, Ben Howard and Alt-J, who were all really good. Although I didn't watch the Rolling Stones, coz I don't really like their music and I think it was all quite hyped up! Even so it was a really good festival, just wish I could've gone!
Image from The Mirror
Oh Paul, what have you done?!! Pretty sure no one is going to look at him the same way now after all the rumours of him getting closer to his US co-star on the set of The American Baking Competition. Him and Mary are always so good on the British version, apparently it'll be back soon after I heard Mary on the radio saying that they had just finished the current season, needless to say that I'll be watching that!
Image from BBC Sport
I'm definitely not a tennis fan but with all the news reports going on this week and celebrations over Laura Robson becoming the first woman in 15 years to get to the fourth round of Wimbledon, I've been watching little snippets of it, especially Andy Murray. Next year me and my family are definitely going to apply for tickets, after the Olympics last year I think everyone has really got behind all these sporting events which is great!
Image from The Daily Mail
I'm sure quite a few people have heard about Zayn Maliks new tattoo of his girlfriend Perrie Edwards. I'm all for tattoos, really can't wait to get one myself, but designs or writing  inspired by partners are always a little but iffy, obviously if they break up then it's going to be a constant reminder. Also in my opinion, it's not the best quality either, is it suppose to be a cartoon version?!
I recently re-discovered this band again, after watching a few of their videos a while ago and recently caught up on their new videos, with this one being my favourite!
Hope you all have a good week!

Review: The Great Gatsby

Image from

Hi everyone! I know it's a bit late to be doing this review considering it's been out for ages but I had to share with you what I thought of it.

BRILLIANTLY AMAZING. I had no idea what to expect, having not read the book, which I intend to read now and only gaining vague plot lines from different people but it really surprised me. The director Baz Luhrmann is one of my favourites (he directed Romeo + Juliet and Moulin Rouge) and his over-the-top staging and costumes was what I was hoping for, as well as his classic symbolism with the eyes of Dr T.J. Eckleburg (I did my research!). It all felt a little bit surreal and unrealistic, especially in 3-D, but I love the style of the 1920's so it ticked all the boxes for me! Plus the soppy love triangle story line got my approval as well! Although the ending was slightly confusing, I won't ruin it for people who haven't seen it but yeah I really didn't know who did it.... 100% recommend everyone go see it!

Ever since then I cannot stop playing this song by Lana Del Ray, although it makes me feel thoroughly depressed and highlights the fact that I can't sing, it's still beautiful.

Anyone seen this film? What's your thoughts?
Hope you're all having a lovely weekend!

Oh My Love

Zara Office City Bag

Isn't it so pretty?!! I'm yet to use it properly (Too scared to break or mark it!) but my intention is to use it when I go off to college or whatever I'm doing after the summer! I'm sure a lot of you have read about fashion bloggers using this bag and all the different compartments (Laptop, Ipad, Phone, card holders and about a million zips!) so I won't go into too much detail, but it's so ideal for carrying folders and laptops. I'll tell you my little story of finding this bag. After my disappointment of my Topshop bag selling out :( the hunt was on for the Office City bag. Then Zara had their sale and I couldn't for the life of me get onto the website and order it and when I did, the bag had disappeared. This was my face :O. Luckily the Brighton store had a few left, so like a crazy bag lady I hunted through the lot (5, in fact) searching for any marks or dents until I found the most undamaged one of the lot and held it tight until I had to hand it over to the cashier. Never believed I could fall in love with a bag so easily, yes it is true. Right now it's staring at me waiting to be used! Has anyone else had a similar experience with a bag or item of clothing? Let me know your stories!

Brighton Haul

The long awaited haul post after shopping in Brighton on Monday! Enjoy!
Suncream and after sun, a must have for a pale skin ginger like me who's going on holiday at the end of July, didn't really think that one through did I? I'm really not expecting to gain any tan, just burn lines really! The smell of after sun always reminds me of holidays! Not just me is it?!

I saw quite a few beauty bloggers loving this texturising spray and thought I'd give it a whirl! I do love adding a bit of texture to my hair, after having really short hair, products like this came in handy when adding a bit extra to it! So far after using it twice I LOVE the smell of it, I'm useless at describing scents but it is gorgeous and it has added a noticeable extra oomph to my layers, can see that I'm going to adore this product.

After trying numerous samples and my sister's one (without her knowing might I add!) I took the plunge and bought my own. I usually add it when my hair is wet and am yet to try it on dry hair coz I'm really worried that it'll make my hair look too greasy!! Has anyone else had the problem? Even so it does give my hair a lovely shine.

Known as the dupe to the Bioderma solution, I am really pleased with this product. Even though I've never tried the Bioderma version, a lot of reviewers have said that it does the job just as well! It's soothing, gets rid of my make-up easily, tones my skin, need I say anymore! Also there's a third off LOreal Paris products in Boots now, easiest buy ever!

Eyeshadows aren't a daily make-up piece for me really, I've never got the time or patience! Quite a lot of people are saying it's similar to the Naked 2 palette and just as pigmented at a fraction of the price ( can't argue with £4 really!) Just gorgeous colours, my favourite is the bottom row third from the right!

Primark: Socks
All of my pairs had holes or lost all their elasticity :( Primark to the rescue!! They match my PJs too so that's an added bonus. I always wear socks, even in the summer, with my foot cream to help them stay softy softy!

Primark: Jumper
These holey knitted jumpers seem to be everywhere now! I'm already planning on wearing it as an evening cover up in the summer! This may sound silly but when it's windy it  does get cold... because it's holey. For £8 it's not too shabby, compared to other more expensive versions I've seen *cough* Topshop *cough*. I would warn you that if you were going to get this and wanted it slightly more fitted get the size below you, mine is an 8 and it's quite baggy, unless your washing machine shrinks everything like mine, then I wouldn't recommend this!

I've got one more purchase but I feel like the post is massively too long already, plus I'm starving! So I'll have to save that for another day, although it  is my favourite one, saving the best till last! Hope you're all having a good week :)

Trench Coat: H&M
Jumper: Primark
Top: Topshop
Jeans: M&S
Shoes: New Look
Necklace: Vintage

My poor feet have suffered under the load of shopping I did yesterday :( Shoes are my biggest nemesis, unfortunately I inherited the wide feet gene from my mother, meaning no matter how worn in shoes are (these ones are probably the most worn I own!) they rub like hell and give me glorious blisters! Although it was definitely worth it for what I bought. Surprisingly Brighton was super busy yesterday, loads of people out and about shopping and the sun finally came out in the afternoon, yay!

Today is my lazy day of not doing much, catching up on everything and playing 'Unwritten' by Natasha Bedingfield non-stop. My dad decided not to warn me that he had a builder coming round to look at the roof as the tiles are falling off, so minding my own business eating breakfast in bed when two builders are hoovering outside my window, probably noticing my bed hair and me crawling underneath the covers quickly and subtly! Should have gone out or something!

Hope you're all having a lovely week :)

Baby Blue

Jacket: Primark
Top and Shoes: New Look
Jeans: M&S
Necklaces: (Pearl Beaded Chains: Forever 21. Single Rose Chain: Accessorize)

Howdy all! A simple pimple outfit for when I went over to a family friends with the parents the other evening. I've known their daughter for agggeesssss, as we went to playgroup together and her older brothers are friends with my sister and brother, so way back basically! I always want to wear a dress or a skirt but these jeans give me the most room for my massive food baby, so this was the best option.

Today me and the momma set off for Brighton and the Lanes in search for an 18th birthday present for me which is in lesson than a month (Where did the time go?!). I've seen some people getting the usual Pandora charms and expensive designer bags but I'm not exactly a Tiffany or designer girl. Mum wanted to get a jewellery box which is something that I would keep forever, although none of the expensive ones we saw were that nice, after stopping off at a flea market we picked up a gorgeous Japanese design casket box ( i love those types of patterns!) which I can put little boxes in with jewellery but it's been hidden away until my birthday :( Although we found no rings that were suitable for my birthday present, I did spot a lot of pretty cameo rings which are on my radar now!

Tomorrows post is gonna feature my OOTD and Wednesday's is going to be a little beauty and fashion haul I did in Brighton too..... needless to say that I am a VERY happy girl with what I bought, sorry bank balance! Hope you're all having a good week!

Rhiannon's raving report #18

Been a long time since I've done this scheduled post but I feel like I shouldn't give up on it, although this time I'm adding in a few different things which I hope you'll enjoy!

Image from Daily Mail

Did anyone see the clip of the Queen's horse winning at Ascot the other day? I've never seen her so happy and smiley before! Even though some people moan that she always looks grumpy, I always think if you were an 87 year old lady always out and busy attending different events then you would look a bit tired sometimes! Oh we do love you Queenie.

Image from The Mirror

So I'm pretty sure that everyone and their dog knows about Kim Kardashian giving birth to her baby girl, apparently called North West! Now there are more reports of Kanye West proposing to Kim days after the birth of their baby girl with a tiger striped diamond ring. Bet that wedding is going to be expensive and lavish!

Image from Telly Mix

OOoohhh Big Brother's Secrets and Lies this year has definitely taken it's usual performance up a notch. This is Micheal the 'People's Puppet', basically anything the public voted for him to do he had to do, obviously it caused a lot of drama! If you missed it last week, unfortunately Micheal is now out of the house but apparently there's lots more to come!

Image from Daily Mail

This is a little bit different from my usual post but this news story actually happened just AROUND THE CORNER from me! In a nutshell, a kids facebook event for a small party managed to go viral with about 150 people turning up and a massive police helicopter with a search light trying to get rid of them, which was what kept me up that night as it was bloody loud!! Anyway here's the link to what actually happened in more detail. Either way it's a lesson learnt by all.....

I just stumbled across this video whilst doing this post, but it's seriously amazed me!! So, of course, I had to share!  (Just click on the link to find it!)

Hope you enjoyed this week's post!

Special Delivery!

Both bought from Fragrance Direct (a great place for discounted items!)

So in a post sometime last week I mentioned that I had a parcel delivered and this is what was in it! Not much but I've been wanting them for aggeesss. After seeing so many people love Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream and sneakily trying out my sisters I took the plunge and bought my own! I've mostly been using it as a lip balm, especially amazing at night, and any dry patches on my face. Although I was slightly worried about any break outs coz it's quite thick, so far it's been alright. It does also mention that you could use it on sunburn, so I'm a little intrigued to find out how well it works (being pale and ginger I burn A LOT!).

On to Decleor Night Blam. After a Christmas present from my parents to get a facial a while ago, the beautician gave me loads of Deleor samples, one of the being the night balm. Stupidly I didn't save it as a travel size (although this pot is an ideal travel size) it ran out and I missed using it! It claims to cleanse, purify and reduce excess sebum, tighten the appearance of pores and reduce imperfections. You only need a tiny bit to cover your whole face and the Ylang Ylang scent is so refreshing. A brilliant face treatment that I use often throughout the week to keep my skin looking fresh and clear!

That's all folks! Hope you're enjoying you weekends!

Review: The Fault In Our Stars by John Green

I may have mentioned a while ago that I was reading this book, using my Amazon voucher to purchase it after the much hyped good reviews. And it really didn't disappoint. This is probably the fastest read I've ever done (5 days) bearing in mind it was actually study leave week so I was suppose to be revising, it kept my attention the whole time. It was a definite step out of my normal reading zone, chick lit, Harry Potter and Twilight series are on my book shelf, with the odd classic novels on it too. I remember being blown away with how well written it was and how much detail was in it, literally brought me into another world! Basically it's about Hazel, a teenager with terminal cancer who meets a cancer survivor Augustus Waters at the Cancer Kid Support Group and it just goes from there. There's not a lot of books that I have read that quickly and have kept me so engaged the whole time, I'd definitely recommend this book to anyone and everyone! I'm about to get on to his next books soon, so hopefully there will be a review on them too!

Hope you're all having a good week!

Jacket and Top: Primark
Jeans: M&S
Shoes and Bag: New Look

Howdy all! I'm so grateful that daisy print is back and everything is covered in it! I bought this top almost a year ago now (I think!) when peplums were going crazy and pretty sure that it was a bar-gain! This top saved me from curry-bloated stomach on Monday after my friends 18th birthday dinner, bet they've saved a lot of people from the same situation! Plus the fact that I haven't really got a waist (or boobs for that matter!) it gives a great allusion of curves. The angle I'm positioned when showing my shoes is slightly strange, but they're pretty shosies, think they're gonna be worn A LOT this summer.

Another boring day really, working mad this week, one of the regulars is off so I've been covering her shifts, which means I'm gonna go on a shopping spree next week! I've already got a list of beauty products that so many bloggers have raved about and I've been eyeing up the Zara Office City bag after the one that I wanted from Topshop when out of stock :( :( obviously wasn't meant to be.... but it was so pretty!

Hope you're all having a good week!

Liebster Award

I was very kindly nominated by Samantha, who I am very jealous of all her OOTD posts! Definitely worth checking out!

I've been nominated a while back but I thought I'd add on all the rules etc

The liebster blog award is for bloggers with under 200 followers

1) Each blogger should answer the questions the tagger set you.
2) Choose 11 new bloggers to pass the award onto and link them in your post.
3) Create 11 new questions for the chosen bloggers to answer.
4) Each blogger should post 11 random facts about themselves.
5) No tag backs.

So off with the questions set by Samantha!

1. What is your middle name?
Rose. I think it came from my mum's nan, but I'm not 100%. Even so I like it coz it's quite pretty and girly!

2. What's your favourite flower?
I haven't really got one, even though my mum is a keen gardener and I used to help her when I was a kid. I do like pretty pink blossom, so dainty and gorgeous!

3. Preferred coffee shop?
Starbucks. Not a massive tea or coffee drinker, but the Starbucks Cool Lime Refresher is my favourite as it's quite refreshing and light!

4. Favourite Accessory (s)?
Earrings and Rings. I have a mahoosive collection! I have loads of different styles, from simple and subtle earrings to loud ones which jazz up my outfits more. When I don't wear earrings, I feel slightly naked without them!

5. Most exciting plan for this summer?
Oohh that's difficult! I've got so much going on this summer! I think it would have to be my first holiday with the girls and no parents to Kos in Greece, plus it's my birthday halfway through so it'll be super exciting to celebrate it there!

6. Best foundation?
No7 Essentially Natural. I'm that kind of girl who doesn't like wearing too much make-up, so this is my go-to foundation throughout the whole year. Light coverage with added SPF.

7. Favourite season?
Spring. You can still wear dresses with tights without feeling too cold! Summer is just one hot and sticky time and winter is just numb toes, hands and nose!

8. Favourite town/shopping centre to shop?
I've got two but they're totally different so I hope that counts! Brighton for the lanes shops, loads of quirky vintage places. Oxford Street for all the main high street shops and Forever 21, one of my top ten shops!

9. What job do you aspire to have?
Journalist. Writing and communicating with people is my passion. I'm in awe at how words can alter someone's opinion on something and how important media is to everyday life.

10. Do you believe in fate?
Yes and no. Some things are coincidence but mostly I believe that everything happens for a reason, although nothing is ever set in stone 100%.

11. Have you ever eaten prunes?
Err, can't say I have! They don't look that appetising! Although if we judged food by looks then quite a lot of the tasty stuff I wouldn't be eating!

On to the 11 facts about me!
1. I have a weird small OCD about pegs on washing lines. If there's two or more pegs used on one item then it has to be the same colour, otherwise it just looks wrong and really bugs me!

2. I have a slight obsession with Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Sometimes they're wealthy and bratty lifestyle annoys me but I'm quite intrigued about their lives

3. My sister calls me Funt. Coz apparently I walk like an elephant, therefore shorted to Funt. I call  her Beak, as her name is Beka, and after someone spelt it wrong it's stuck!

4. I thought rolling my tongue was my party trick that no one else can do but turns out that everyone else can do it!

5. I can't click my fingers for anything

6. My peg organisation OCD has resulted in a very organised wardrobe and email inbox!

7. I don't like courgette or rhubarb

8. People who talk about themselves wayy too much or blatantly ignore you when you're talking to them annoy me.

9. I'm really bad at make-up and hair, can't seem to ever get it right!

10. I have a quite big scar on my arm after I had to get my birthmark removed; I call it my shark bite!

11. My favourite place to visit is Somerset. Cows and cheese galore! I always feel like a right country farmer when I go down there!

Blogs I'm tagging

I love all these blogs, a mixture of beauty, fashion and lifestyle!

On to my questions...
1. Favourite high street shop?
2. Beauty product that you can't live without?
3. Favourite animal?
4. Do you believe in love at first sight?
5. Number one author and book?
6. Beauty or fashion?
7. One thing you want to do before you die
8. Favourite childhood memories?
9. Any nicknames?
10. Favourite meal?
11. What do you enjoy most about blogging?

Phew! So much to write, sorry for the text heavy post, I hope you enjoyed finding out more about me! Leave your links at the bottom so I can see your answers and blogs!

Lace and Denim

Jacket: Primark
Top and Shoes: New Look
Jeans: M&S
Bag: H&M

Howdy all! Tonight I'm off out for another 18th birthday (Had one Friday and yesterday!). I literally just threw this on, as I was in a bit of a rush but then found out I had more time, phew! I'm a little bit under the weather today, having caught a cold at the weekend it's decided to make my throat feel like sandpaper and my nose like Rudolph's! Lovely! Is it only me who catches colds in the summer?! Feels like it should only happen in the winter!

Last night I caught up with a few friends who I don't see that often over a curry. I always go in to Indians thinking I'll try something else other than a korma, but then give up and order the exact same! Never really good with hot spicy food anyway. Today I've been absolutely knacked after working all day, still got work everyday until Sunday now :( Although it means that I can buy pretty stuff like this and not feel guilty!

Hope you're all having a good week so far!

The Great British Cake Off

Jacket and Top: Primark
Jeans: M&S
Shoes: New Look

Helloo ladies! Sorry for the lack of posts over the weekend, tired was an understatement of what I was feeling! This is what I wore to my friend Katy's bake stall on Saturday, it was part of the People's Festival in Brighton and her college took part in it and offered her a stall to sell her yummy cupcakes on! Nearly all of the cupcakes sold over the morning, with the flavours Double Chocolate, Lemon, Vanilla, Cherry and Ginger, all beautifully decorated. You'll find all of Katy's baking and her gorgeous cakes on her blog Katys Bakes

I wanted to wear something simple but warm, even though it was sunny there was a really cold wind but my cat print apron did help block some of the wind (Unfortunately there are no pictures of me in my apron.... such a shame! haha). After we finished up selling and got home around 4ish I was so knackered after getting home late the night before then getting up early the next morning that I slobbed out watching films (Despicable Me and The Iron Lady, unimpressed with both of them). Then working all day Sunday and spending the rest of the day with my dad and granddad I really had no energy to post anything on here! I have loads of posts in mind for the rest of the week, so buckle in and enjoy the ride!

Jacket: Topshop
T-shirt dress: H&M
Pumps: New Look
Trainers: Converse
Necklace: Accessorize

Heellooo! You may be thinking 'why has she put two pairs of shoes up?!' this is actually want I'm planning to wear to my friends 18th BBQ tonight and thought I should give it a test run this morning and show you guys! I'm leaning more towards the converse, they're wayy more comfortable and I think the pumps are a little bit too formal, so that's basically sorted out my problem! So this is what I'd wear with my new dress (I mentioned it in yesterday's post that I'd post about what I'd wear with it). Although it's a little bit boring, it's simple and easy to wear, plus I did try different belts but it brought it up way too short!

So after a busy time last week and working most of this week, today has been a lazy day hanging around in trackies and hoodies, watching videos on Youtube and catching up on everyone's blogs. The postman gave me a surprise when he delivered my order from fragrance direct, although it was only two things I was pretty happy. I think 'll be doing a mini post about them later on next week!

Hope you enjoyed this very boring post and that you're all looking forward to the weekend!
As usual thanks for reading!

A little fashion haul....

Another haul from my shopping trip the other day, this time clothes and shoes! Yay! Aren't you lucky.... Enjoy :)

 Dress: Forever 21. About £20-ish

So pretty.... My mum said that the black colour washes me out but I don't care coz it's got daisy's on it! haha I saw this playsuit in New Look and bought it after being undecided in the changing rooms but took it back after I saw this one. I just love the detail on the back and the fabric is quite light and airy, so should be good in the summer.... whenever it actually comes! I am still lusting after this dress from Asos, even though it's maternity, I think I'm having a daisy print moment.

 T-shirt Dress: H&M £7.99

I do like a good t-shirt and since trying to break away from my black skinnies, I've ventured into the t-shirt dress world. I adore how comfortable it is, why did no one tell me before?! I plan to wear this tomorrow so I won't tell you what I'd wear it with, you'll just have to wait and see! In the third picture I was trying to show the slit down the side, it's really not that short compared to other dresses I've see girls wear! And the slit doesn't show that much anyway

 Dress: Forever 21 £20-ish

How pweettyy is it?! The collar, colour and cute pleats make me smile every time, in a normal not-strange-at-all way. Plus it is a possibility for my Year 13 prom dress, it's not a very formal occasion, so I think this would be quite nice. I need your help with what to wear it with though? Help me out guys!

Jeans: M&S £22.50

I think M&S gets a bit of a rep for being an old lady shop, but I've actually got quite a few good bits in there, these jeans being the best so far. They're actually jeggings, but the quality is jean-like and I'd probably liken them to the the Leigh Jeans in Topshop, as they're super comfy and flexible. In the second photo I put the same jeans I bought a year ago from M&S so you can see the difference, although they've faded, it's not that drastic. Hands down the best black skinny jeans I've had!

Shoes: Both New Look.
Brown Loafers: £17.99

I didn't really intend to buy both of them. But after the disappointment of not finding these shoes I settled for the equally pretty brown loafers, comfy and practical, I think we'll get on. The pretty pink ballet slippers are THE most comfiest shoes I've ever bought, usually with my wide feet pumps are really painful to break into but wearing these are like walking on clouds (sorry for the cliche!). Anyway a girl can never have too many pairs of shoes.....

Another massive post, sorry guys! Hope you enjoyed having a peak at my (little) clothes and shoes haul! Also let me know what I should wear with that mint collar dress :)

Rhiannon xxx

P.S For some reason Forever 21 didn't have the dresses online.... even more reason to actually go shopping there :)
