You're probably thinking 'Uhhh, Charles Dickens? Really? How boring!' Since reading it in my GCSE English class, I've kinda been intrigued by the whole story, as I'm a classic chit lit and Harry Potter gal, I fancied something different. I'll start with the basis of the story, the main character Pip lives with his sister and meets an escaped convict, Magwitch, who he gives food to. Years later he receives money from a mysterious benefactor, thus beginning his 'Great Expectations'. After doing a review a while ago (Link here) on the newest film version, I decided to take the book up again. Despite being long-winded and published in the tiniest writing ever, I managed to finish it, definitely worth it for the feel good factor at the end. At the moment I'm reading The Fault In Our Stars by John Green after seeing so many people rave about it and after Samantha recommended it and at about 100 pages in I'm totally absorbed by it!
Any good books you would recommend?
Thanks for reading!
